I think some of the jokes went too far, but I understand the gist of comedy.

You used to be able to crack on chicks like that back in the day. Now everybody is just dumb sensitive.

Pam said in an interview most of the back and forths were all improvised and she didnt know what Martin was gonna hit her with, so it became a long running competition as Martin was always flying off the script with jokes to clown her.

Pam would always be crackin short jokes this and midget man that when Martin was clearly a little taller than her
On the other hand Martin was relentless with the buckshots and animal comparisons but Pam was fine as hell
Were we just supposed to go along with this for the sake of their adversarial relationship?

show was just continuing the fred/aunt esthere and george/florence thing

pam using updated short jokes that florence fired at george jefferson

martin using new "ugly aunt esthere" jokes on pam........... hehe angela bassethound ,though

it works if both actors are funny and get good lines off on each other...tichina arnold has great comedic timing to be able told hold her own against a standup comedian. that's part of the reason why she's been is so many thing after the show aired

They would go at it with the jabs, doing what normal people do with they can’t stand each other. They take it there and there will be some low blows.
