That is similar to what we did when we would ride our skateboards down the road from the Griffith Observatory. We were stupid kids though and it was around 1980, when children were feral and such. We would also climb up to the Hollywood sign, Surf and Boogie Boarding when we did not even know how to swim (well, that was dumb me that did that), and other things that as an adult I think how I could have easily died doing.

Edit: Oh, and we did not have helmets or any protection on. We were absolutely stupid, but no parents around to stop us.
