Not true, mostly about entitlement, but to some degree most people view the social contract as essentially men spend and women comply. That's essentially the norms we have all grown up under.

But, I would say in general, many aren't egregious about it, there's been a few times

so I say ok, and walk into this lounge, they had ordered dinner, and I wasn't eating, but at some point they offered me a bite, a taste, whatever, and when the check comes, the one girl is like are you going to take care of this?
