They have a great funding model for each other. It's a shame that black people don't replicate it.
I was reading the bio of Jack Friedman a few months ago and was fascinated by how much support he had. It was before the whole tech bubble, but he was able to start (or buy into) companies like Activision or THQ or even his original toy enterprises because of help at every corner. It was rarely his own money at stake in these ventures.
From the time Friedman was a child, to the time he was a senior citizen; every time he had an idea there was a fellow countryman to invest in him and take a chance. I believe the modern crop of their people benefit from a similar support system whether we're talking about Zuckerberg, or ravenski, or Sean rad.
By comparison, if you had a young enterprising black person , their ideas would have to be bootstrapped by themselves due to either distrust or a culture of conservative investing among black people. This leads to a culture where business ideas in our community wither on the vine before they ever bear fruit.
