I didn't know where to really put this thread but whatever...
My wife watches the L&HH joint. I was in the media room playing with my youngest daughter last night and I hear this hysterical crying coming from my bedroom TV. I go to my room and this chick is on TV all on the ground crying hard as fukk and this lady is talking to this dude telling him that she's going thru a lot and to to let her be. So I'm like
Mind you, I don't watch the shyt. I ask my wife what's going on and she tells me that the dude just came out to his girlfriend. Apparently people have been calling him gay since he was in high school but she would always turn a blind eye to it. Another thing, the dude he's always hanging with is gay and happen to the dude he was fukkin' with.
After the show, BET ot VH1 or whatever fukkin' channel this show comes on decides to do a forum on homosexuality in the Hip Hop community. There's all these "artist" on there that I have never even heard of. And some preachers too. Matter of fact, the only person I knew of on there was Snoop from The Wire. The show was all about acceptance in the community and how not to be afraid to come out and shyt. I didn't really have a problem with the show but two things really bothered me most...
1. There was this one group of preachers on there talking about how it's ok to be gay. One of the preachers was actually gay. But they had another preacher on FaceTime who felt differently about it and they shyt on him and basically called him a bigot on TV.
2. Toward the end of the show they were asking the panel their thoughts and one of the dudes got up and said something to the nature to stop supporting record labels that don't sing gay artist. At that point I was really like
Like, how can you utter something so silly? You can't make a consumer not consume because it doesn't benefit your agenda. And this is the biggest problem with the LGBT community. If you don't support their cause then you're a bigot. They're the only group that can get away with this and it's fukkin' infuriating.
There's more to say about this but I want to know what yall think about this and did anyone else catch this shyt?
And another thing... How is it when a man cheats on a woman with another woman he is the scum of the Earth? But when a man cheats on a woman with another man and decides to come out to that woman, he is somehow being liberated?
