That's great news. Stories began emerging of some worrying working conditions. And it's not like these companies can't afford to pay these people more than $2 an hour

Sometimes $2 :francis:

After taxes and the company taking its own cut, the actual moderators were reportedly taking home roughly $1.30 to $1.50 an hour, maybe reaching $2 if they hit all of their performance indicators, which according to Time included things like accuracy and speed.

Their labor will no longer be needed at some point in the not too distant future.

They would have to make an AI model capable of going through images and removing anything that could be considered problematic.

Which would have to still be trained by humans.

But then a human would still have to check it :yeshrug:

They got a good half a decade at least.

Training these models is going to get very expensive but the open source market is slowly catching up.

They'll pay you market rate from a western country if you migrate there but pay locals nothing.

People still ask why there are so many economic migrants "running from home" the world economics game is rigged. All that "stay home and build" shyt is idealism. Much of the building is done by accessing opportunities and funds abroad. Even when you are just as educated if not more than your western counterparts they demand you take less.
