Rest In Power Kobe
yeah, I agree with that.Doin shyt in front of a media that you know will protect you is not the same as putting the shyt out there for all to see. They weren't doing this shyt on TV (aka the mass communication medium of the day), they were doing it in clubs and homes will full confidence that it would never get out. nikkas keep talking about how there was no twitter or tabloids back in the day as if this shyt got snapped and posted without his knowledge or permission. This nikka posted this shyt himself. Yeah nikkas in the past acted a fool. Yeah nikkas in the past were reckless. However nikkas in the past didnt' go out of there way to ensure everybody knew about it. That is the difference. The whole "Hey look at me I'm breaking the law" shyt is a rather new phenomenon.
Im in the weird age where I didnt grow up with all this social media stuff, but I embrace it. I like to think I have more discretion with what I say and do, but who knows how others take it. The kids who were like 8 or 9 when facebook came out (today is Facebook's 9th Bday also) do not know better and think that there social circle are the only ones who will see stuff.
Normally its something harmless like misspelling the name of a very famous person or a lil more serious like saying racial insults, or even to the extreme like tweeting death threats to the president. The point is that they do not understand the consequences.
). You are absolutely right about consequences. Kids today come up thinking certain shyt is cute (gangbanging, selling drugs, being a whore) and have no problem broadcasting shyt that implicates them in such activities even if they aren't truly doing it. It's almost as if they don't realize that EVERYBODY can see that shyt. Social media is cool but nikkas gotta know when to draw the line.
