when I found out Tyrone was irishI like these concise videos. Latin(roman) and Greek names were and are still pretty popular too. Games like Demetrius, aries, Evander, julius, Maia, Nona, venus, etc.
It's amazing how many people see those kind of names as 'Black names' despite the fact they're literally thousands of years old

And to be honest i dont care for those extra creative "black names "either. Dont cget me wrong some are mad cool. But some mofos need to chil with the creativity. All these apostrophes and sh!t be killing me.
But we (various ethnicities) all have sh!t we like.
- Black americans, i noticed in one of the popular trends is the pattern is adding "De" to traditional European names. Exhibit A: Devante, DeSean, DeShawn, DeAnthony, D'Angelo, D'Brickashaw , DeBri, DeAndre, DeMario, DeMichael, DeMarcus, DeMarre, DeWayne
- Haitians ...
Them fukkas like to add "God" and sometimes "Jesus" into names. Example: DieuFort (God strong) or DieuDonne (God Giveth) or Dieu Seul (God only) or Jesula (Jesus is here) Oh and dont get me started on hood Haitians who like to add "son" to every freakin name
Examples: dikkenSon. Mackenson. Mickenson. Nikenson. MackSon. SonSon (yes you read that right) JaqueSon. Some say thats the influence from the American occupation from the early 1900's
- Costa Ricans i noticed have various creative ways of spelling the name that sounds like Adriana. Them Ticos be wilding with that sh!t. When i lived in CR i swear every chick i met was named Adriana or Adryena
- Jamaicans and Bahamians tend to use old school british names and add their own spin to it. Trinis.. not so much
When it comes to creative names black americans may have the reputation for it but it is not a stricly black american thing. I've met black Costa Ricans a d black Panamanians with with those 'creative' names too. Tho black americans tend often go with traditional Anglo-Saxon names and add "De" or "Le/La" in front of it and ride with it. DeShawn, DeMarcus, Demario, DeAndre,DeLeon, DeWayne, LaMarcus, LaShawn, etc.
MY people?
Hood Haitians are Obsessed with English named that end with "son'. Nickenson, MackSon, Jackson, Mackenson, SonSon (yeah you read that right) and the list goes on and on. My dad was saying this was as a result of the American invasion and occupation of Haiti in the early 1900s. Some Haitians heard the fancy english names like Jackson and and became fascinated with the sound
Country ass haitians love name with Jesus and God mentioned in them. My GrandFathers's name was "Dieu-Fort" which translates to "God is Powerful" . ANother favorite is DieuDonne" (God Giveth), Jesus-La (Jesus is here), Dieu-Seul (God Only), Dieu-Benit (God Blessed) and the list of fukkery names goes on and on.
Or even worse they name kids names like Innocent, Prudence, Proverbe (like Proverb), Prospere ( prosper), an d on and on
City folks clown them for it
You check all ethnicities and you'll find some of the same fukkery by parents
NOPEfunny.. their is a whole haitian generation inspired by african american...
we created names too but made it more english by adding suffixes like ER for the ERRR sound like in the word supER... but..we pronounce them AIR

You are either lying or mistaken on this one. No Haitian would name their kids Toner because of what it mean in kreol/Frenchtoner![]()
