Original "Friday" - NOT the Director's Cut

so i decided i wanted to watch Friday again, so i hook up to my bootleg Plex server and it starts playing. you know the classic intro "try to see another day...."

about 20 seconds in and i realize its the damn DIRECTORS CUT which mangles the movie...

this is pop's speech from the OG '95 release:



now the same scene on the director's cut:



personally i thought the OG cut of the movie was WAY better. it seems like they let the actors improv a little bit off script and it kinda makes some scenes go sideways.

does the original cut just not exist online anymore? i cant find it!

It's crazy how different the movie is in the director's cut. It's like they had to write an essay with a minimum page count and they were out of ideas 2 pages in. They were just adding shyt just to have it there. Didn't have anything to do with the story
