Actor Orlando Brown responded positively to news that his former That's So Raven role as "Eddie Thomas" was being recast for Raven Symone's impending resurrection of the Disney Channel show. But in between his words of support for the show's reincarnation, Brown was sure to impart a couple of subs toward his former co-star.

"I wish nothing but the best. I don't know, I mean, I think that that would disappoint many fans, but you know, either way it goes I think that it's all for the greater good. Everything is ok, everything is good. On my side I'm comfortable, I'm happy, I'm blessed, and I'm sure that, you know what I mean, like, the fans are going to rip into Raven's ass," Brown said with mild sarcasm.

The former Family Matters and The Jamie Foxx Show star remained composed as he continued to speak Symone's decision up, but while his words and demeanor gave off the sense that he has found closure on news of his ouster, he didn't complete the TMZ interview without casting a little shade, smirking when asked whether he believes the show will be met with decent ratings. At one point he said she would always have a special place in his heart, while suggesting that she replaced him because she's afraid of falling for him again, in the same sentence. "You can't judge someone for making the decisions that they think that's right. You know what I'm saying? Like, if she feel like that's what she wants to do, then I love her still. I'm still in love with her a** and she's running from the D," he said.

While Brown had been acting as a child star since his adolescent years, it wasn't until his work as a regular on That's So Raven that he became popular among kid TV audiences. Prior to fans becoming acquainted with him though, Symone got to know him, and on a much more personal level, with them having dated for a year and a half prior to their break-up in 2003. He will be replaced by Alonzo Lerone, who publicly thanked Symone with a tweet that read: “So happy to announce that I will be replacing Eddie on ‘That’s So Raven 2′ as Raven’s love interest. Thank you @ravensymone."

He is really putting in effort to try and remain relevant.
Dude is so far gone, I'm not even sure he could sustain an acting career if he had one.

:laff:He said that out of no where.

"She making decisions that benefit her and we can't judge her for that. I still love her, I'm still in love with her and she's running from the D".

How does that shyt go together at all? Like if you hear someone talking in that direction you don't expect them to come from left field with that.:russ:

If they were gonna omit his role thats one thing... but recasting him is corny.
You are working directly against the nostalgia you are tryna capitalize on by intentionally distancing fans by disrespecting the actors they have come to love.

It can work... as a new show for a new audience.
But all the fans they are expecting to 'bring back' are gonna be irritated and may stop after the pilot, if they watch at all.

Revival shows like Arrested Development and Fuller House were popular and successful because they got their origibal casts back, inspiring the original fans to return.

Revival shows that are gonna work always tweet pics of the full re-unuted cast first and the fans go nuts.
Last thing you want to hear as a fan is the OG cast members actually wanna reprise their roles (like with Orlando Browb) but the new show wont let them. Thats what happened with the new Powerpuff Girls. Thats why no one is talking about it. The origibal was a hit... they recast it for the revival and woulfnt bring back legends like Tara Strong to do the voices. None of the original fans were with that.

ppl need their member berries
