Update: How Did Randy Orton Injure His Shoulder? - Wrestlezone
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE Superstar Randy Orton injured his shoulder while taking out the garbage at his home.
Orton apparently took the garbage to his curb and dislocated his shoulder, and it was bad enough where it took three hours to pop it back into place. We previously reported Orton was scheduled to have a MRI to see the extent of the damage; it was previously said Orton was already working with a hurt shoulder, and has a history of shoulder problems. This incident is apparently what caused him to be pulled from several events, including WWE’s tour of Mexico and the WWE Hell In a Cell pay-per-view.
Orton was scheduled to team with Dean Ambrose against The Wyatt Family’s Luke Harper and Braun Strowman on the kickoff show, but that match has been pulled and replaced with Dolph Ziggler, Cesaro and Neville versus King Barrett, Rusev and Sheamus.

His shoulder must've really been fukked up if it jobbed to the trash. Trash was like "you gon learn today about separating paper from plastic"
He has hypermobile shoulders so he's more vulnerable to shoulder injuries.

One of the issues with Randy Orton's shoulder dislocations is that he has hypermobile shoulders. It's a condition that allows his shoulders to stretch back much farther than the average person. The flip side is that he's more prone to injuries, mainly shoulder dislocations and in the long run, his shoulder joints can wear out much faster than a normal person. When Orton gets older, he will be a strong candidate for osteoarthritis.
I love the dude, think he's top 5, but I'd be hard pressed to say he'd be missed
