I get that. Nas is the greatest of all time without a Grammy, nothing can change that. Leo is one of the greatest of all time, even if he doesn't win an Oscar. But if you win, take it. Why not?

You're right their agenda is obvious. But we know white people will play dumb all day in the face of the obvious. But how do you change that agenda without moves like these? Spike Lee and the Smiths are no fools. They obviously know how Hollywood operates. Coming out now when its so clearly obvious how white washed Hollywood is makes a strong case for more inclusion for black actors and directors beyond token roles. To simply say they are begging for acceptance is simplifying the matter too much
