hip hop had a ton of classic albums before Wu or Nas dropped their debut albums. Now maybe Wu and Nas got a lot of people introduced to hip hop, and that's fine, put we can't act like hip hop classic albums started in November of 93 or that there wasn't anything worth listening to prior to that.

I don't think he is saying nothing was classic before them just they are the pinnacle of rap. Beats, rhymes, themes they are on the highest level in all aspects.

Obviously Nas, Jay, Pac, and few others have a claim.

But I truly do believe Wu, Dre and Native Tongues (i know its a different type of crew) are the 3 greatest things in hiphop history. Between the 3, they have probably 20 legit full blown classics.

that's still not true. Marley/Kane, Marley/G rap, Rakim/Large Pro, Bomb Squad/Slick Rick, Dre/DOC

There were without a doubt lyricists and great producers prior to 1993
