Diablo 3 was trash. I'm still mad I paid full price for it.

Sounds like they're trying to go towards maybe an MMO style of play with PvE perhaps with OW2 since it was originally going to be an MMO

This is primarily a PC title (yeah yeah I know there are console versions) so charging a retail price is considered an archaic model for PC games. Some of the most popular PC games are free but the company profits from microtransaction or a subscription model. Overwatch players only had to pay a one time fee/price to be able to play the game. They haven't employed a model where they continuously profit off the game after the player makes his/her initial purchase. Only recently have they started out rolling out premium skins, and apparently they're getting money from the overwatch league or whatever. If they're serious about the whole 'games as service' approach then it would make sense if their next game is an MMO with a subscription model. OW was originally a sequel for WoW anyway.

an easy to get into fps with great character design from one of the big developers that has games a large amount of people still play...
