So what did the NFLPA get in return for doing the NFL a solid in helping to conceal that ruling?

Probably good favor in the next round of negotiations, knowing they know where a body is buried
Probably nothing. Seems like two of the higherups in the NFLPA are compromised and in the pocket of the NFL. The Murphy/Booz Allen dude(Executive Director) and JC Tretter(Helped put Booz Allen dude in power).

I don’t think this is the right thread but you’re right.
In the NFL, Joe Burrow, and Lamar Jackson don’t get a superstar whistle. Refs seem to allow late hits, and dirty hits on both. Similar to Cam Newton, and Michael Vick.

In regard to 50/50 calls the Bengals and Ravens get screwed especially when facing the Chiefs. First game of the season, the league made an example of the Ravens with the illegal formation penalties on the offensive line. Same game, same refs Chiefs constantly got away with it.

TYRONE GA!
The minority of players making $$$$$ (basically any above average starting QB, good or better defensive players etc), can take a long-term view. Owners don't worry about those guys because the NFLPA votes are done based on a simple majority. As long as you can get the middle/lower-tier guys to agree, that's all you need.

John Doe the QB with $100M liquid net worth is going to have a very different outlook than Dave Doe who makes league minimum and just wants to keep his spot on the 53. Owners target Dave and give him JUST enough to bend the knee.
exactly what they did in the last CBA raising the starting minimum like 200k. killed all NFLPA momentum in one swoop.

4th quarter and Burrow throwing into double coverage and getting picked is why they lost the game. I guess the refs made him do that though:mjlol:

Not compromised so much as understanding one hand washes the other

You may be right, but JC being part of the reason why a non football guy is the ED looks sketchy. Then the fact that the guy he brought in seems to be a "company" type guy(Due to the fact he tried to protect the company from the whistleblower) makes me think he gonna be a puppet for the NFL/Owners instead of the fighting for the players. Only time will tell.

and we all know NFL racist as fukk, and it is very interesting how it was 3 black QBs in the case. :mjpls:

but this goes beyond race. the Chargers front office said said it was good for their next negotiations were Herbert to the Cardinals owner. this is a MAJOR labor issue for all the players int he NFL. shyt is rigged too, if the PA is not exposing this and taking it further. players have no shot because the owners will still be billionaires for years if there was a work stoppage, these guys have no leverage without the PA actually filing lawsuits/looking into further cases. media clearly sweeping it under the rug.

the Pro football talk tweet about it got less likes than the tweet about a coli poster wanting to nut raw in some random twitter chick.

pathetic shyt. the NFL owners and Roger Goodell all going to hell if it exists.

I don't think there's anything the NFL could put on the table that could be a proper concession for giving up guaranteed contracts in the most valuable sports entity in North America.

The hard cap alone prevents it from becoming an NBA/MLB situation.....unless the concession is getting rid of the hard cap then I'd understand.

Haven’t read thru thread but this would be a good thing for everyone else on the team, shout out to shady McCoy.

They can’t change how much goes to players as a whole due to collective bargaining but QBs shouldn’t be getting as much as they get, they are as important as their line, wrs then defense and those nikkas deserve to be paid.

Now that being said, in the current climate some dudes deserve what they got paid but 1 dude shouldn’t be making more than most of their roster

Correct and even if it's a one hand washes another situation, I don't see how the players go along with that and defeats the purpose of what the union is supposed to do. I just don't see how they didn't think that this shyt would come to light.

I remember reports being surprised that Russ didn't hold the Broncos feat to the fire for more and now these reports make sense why.
