Breh there's always a plot to keep a black man in his place.

Nobody should be surprised by these people
The NFL doesn't want guaranteed salaries to become the norm with all players not just QBs. That's always been obvious.

I kept trying to tell people that Watson deal wasn't going to become the norm and years later, I'm still proven right. It was a reason why teams were pissed when the Browns went rogue and came in with that deal.

Pretty consistent with how we've been treated since forever.

Also, the NFL WILL NEVER LET LAMAR WIN A SB. The Ravens will be great this season, and something will strangely go left once the playoffs start. They are not gonna let Lamar be the face of the league.

Lamar Jackson is already a face of the league though.

So are we saying the NFL and the Browns used Watson to get out of ever paying guaranteed contracts?

Because that whole accusations situations happened before the Browns gave the contract

Does anyone remember the excuse the teams used for why they couldn't sign him?
It was some kind of technicality around the timing of teams signing him, like it would tie up their cap money and Baltimore would match anyway or something like that
Even if that were true, QB position is such a premium it's still worth the risk imo especially if Jackson and the Ravens were beefing during negotiations

This doesn't violate the Collective Bargaining Agreement?
Sports leagues are cartels; the CBA they establish means nothing if there isn’t a comparable entity to rival for business

Yes as the collusion obviously started before him and how poorly that deal aged is going make teams even more hesitant to give one.
