Lamar signed a $260 Million deal with his Mom as the agent. Agents receive 3% of that. So, Lamar's mom got $7.8 Million instead of some random ass unathletic agent. Why should these NFL players give free money away like that when they can keep it with the family?

It’s not just the nfl. This is the business class as a whole. Same reason why you always hear stuff like “people shouldn’t talk about what they’re each paid while at work” to prevent workers from all actively working together to have each others backs. If people realize how many entities do this type of stuff, they’ll start wondering if their jobs do it too.
