Exactly. The nikka is gone now anyway so what the fukk is even the point?

According to Woj they were planning on filing it before he was he traded.

The point is to hurt the Lakers if they can prove it...it can cripple their future picks/ability to sign him.

Tampering is hard to prove unless it's blatant carelessness involved on both the team and player's sides.

I get all that. I just don't see how this benefits them. It's one thing if he is still there and you basically eliminate them as an option. But he's gone now so really all you are doing is saying "well ya'll can't have him either" :russ:.

It's similar to filing a lawsuit....it doesn't happen right away.

Cavs were going to do the same thing to the Heat in 2010.
