The numbers historically have been pretty even for both teams going bsck about 30 years, which is telling for the a's fan base, considering the a's have had more success in the bay area and yet have average at best attendance. Look at their attendance dip drastically after the 89 world series win.. 2-3 years removed from a WS title and they suddenly have one of the worst attendances in the league

Both teams have about 10,000 DIE HARD fans in the Bay, the rest are fair weather and will go to the newer stadium. You can't deny this
