Just watched the first two for the first time. From what I heard, 2 is considered, but both were great films.
- The first one with the journey to find a home. But the ending message that he found his home all along. And seeing how he affected the family members made him an integral member of the browns. It was most notable in the father and the sister.
- The 2nd I feel landed a bigger emotional impact given its ending. Man that was great.
Although throughout the course of the movie we see the impact Paddington makes. Mostly how his kindness has made the neighborhood a better place. This you can see before and after Paddington is taken into prison. But inside prison, how he wins the other inmates over adds to this.
Paddington was a big part of my childhood, but is he that big in the uk? I need to check these out. And if there's ever corduroy or babar live action movies to come out, I'd definitely have to see those shyts in theaters

It was a bit of a slow start, but man they nailed the landing. Loved the usage of family in this movie. You first had Paddington telling Hunter that Gina, his daughter, is his true treasure. Then him at the end of the movie him you in the feels so well that Paddington saying that with the Browns is where his home was. Which really gets the daughter to understand what the mom is feeling emotionally, since she thought Paddington was leaving the nest.Great movie, going to see it again next week. Someone was cutting onions at the end
Honestly, the Browns growing up and not interacting is something many families do. Though for them this trip was for them to come interact together and bond again.
Honestly, this movie did a lot better than I expected because the 2nd felt like a great ending point. But they did good here, and it didn't feel like a sequel made just for the sake of it. I am intrigued with what the 4th one can be. The post credit scenes have me excited.

I was meant to watch this on the weekend, but will do midweek with my kiddo
I saw a few folks express trepidation with this flick b/c of how great Paddington 2 was. P2 is seriously one of best film experiences I've ever had. Such a great movie.... if they can reach those heights with P3, i'll sing its praises from the rooftops.
