The world is so interconnected now that it is nearly impossible to contain a virus. A virus that centuries ago that would be confined to a region of one country now will spread around the entire world.

Even after covid there will be other viruses to emerge. Millions died from covid and it didn't even have a high fatality rate. What will happen when a virus 10X as deadly and just as contagious spreads?

too late the economy is global now and can't survive without it
I don't think so. We can Start by punishing the people who are at fault for creating these pandemics, such as heads of the NIH, who funded and participated with our communist enemies in China, on gain of function research.

Death would be a good punishment. That will get global players to understand the consequences that come with global collusion, as well as start a scaling back of global functions in sovereign states.

Then make sure sovereign governments do not create laws in favor of global corporations, foundations, or any other global entities.

Ending globalization is a gradual process, but a fairly easy one. Once you start scaling back, then you can decide how much globalization you actually want.

The world has been globalized for decades. Ofc it's a factor but even without globalization, you can't contain viruses to particular regions.

The real kicker is the encroachment on natural habitats, leaving animal species with no place to go and raising the risk for viruses mutating.

You’ve never heard of the bubonic plague that started in china and wiped out almost half of the world’s population when it spread through traders?

It was Asia, Europe and the Middle East. It did not affect Africa or the rest of the world. Today it would reach every corner of the word.
