Love the attention paid to the subject but I feel they dropped the ball overall. I would've preferred it to be multiple parts and much longer. Cover the different mixtape movements. I think the only two artists mixtapes they named straight up were 50 Cent Is the Future and Trap Or Die. I would preferred a more lineal approach showing which mixtapes were getting hot at different times. The progression as they got hotter.

I thought they dropped the ball not really focusing on the Bad Boys mixtapes, or even the Diplomats, Fab's mixtape runs (his own and also building his buzz initially off Clue tapes), Gucci, the whole Texas mixtape movement (they mention Screw for chopping but none of the artists). I would've liked to see it mentioned artists like Kanye building up his rapper buzz off mixtapes, or even Drake I think being the first to just flip a mixtape into an album and it making him a superstar.

Or even focus on the roll mixtapes played in beefs as well.
