It still pisses me off how out of sync this shyt is since you had little to no way of optimising this for flatscreens to compensate for the lag in button presses. Damn near a cash grab
full
but just experiencing this game is worth the trouble.

Yeah, I thought I was just bad at the game. Turns out it's fundamentally fukked up :gucci:

I've played/beat/enjoyed Parappa from the day I got it on the PSX to the point where I could achieve the seemingly elusive 'cool' rating on most all stages and that requires you to mix it up with different combinations of inputs ad opposed to just following the shyt on the screen EXACT.

That was the hidden beauty of that game when you realized you'd get more points for pressing random buttons in a steady rhythm to what was playing as opposed to following the formula so even when you did bad at times you'd get a 'good' rating; made the game fun as well as challenging.

When I copped my first flatscreen, hooked up my ps2 to the shyts popped in Parappa and couldn't get past the first fukkING stage the input lag was SO fukking bad. Same thing for the sequel Umjammer Lammy and I noticed a few other games had that shyt going on, especially baseball games where I'd swing ahead the ball all the time.

Now I could understand the PSX version having these problems but every release of the game short of the psp version has never corrected that problem or given you a way to offset the audio visual similar to Guitar hero 2 and most other rhythm games that made provisions for this shyt.

I wanted to cop this shyt the minute I heard about it believing that the problem would have been fixed but...nah. they just ramped up the brightness and chucked it out again. fukk Sony for that shyt, seriously. :camby:
