I'm pretty sure that the 1st time I actually heard Paris it was on KMEL (!!!)....I can't imagine the radio playing some sh*t like that now.....it's all BS all the time...

:whew:

Paris was always one of the best in Hip Hop. Not only was he a competent producer, but he could get down on drum kit as well. His voice was like west coast Rakim w/ angry scowl commentary on America. Pretty crazy to think he was self producing himself on ALL his records. Go pick up the records, no one had the balls/talent/focus to do that except for a few. I am convinced Pac was a Paris fan & probably what influenced "2Pacalypse Now"

I can only imagine if Paris was on Hot 97 w/ Ebro and Rosenberg, if other artists were in the studio who had no idea who he was, I wonder how many would be shocked at what he says

I remember when he was on Air America and the host got nervous when he started talking about 9/11. They cut him off, only Paris would speak his mind when they just wanted him on because he was anti bush. He was more radical than Chuck D, t

Paris was the kind of cat that Ice Cube,Pac,Scarface was probably listening to saying, "i could never say this, but I'm glad someone is" He assassinated the president on his second album, lol

Paris not even trying could produce better than half of the main producers out today who are getting praise on sound cloud. He was the ultimate D.I.Y'er in Hip Hop.

Sleeping With The Enemy is a classic.
Hip-hop producers on both coasts were fukking meticulous in the early 90's
Brehs were making movies on wax.
Albums like Death Certificate, Efil4zaggin, Fear of a Black Planet, Aint A Damn Thang Changed, and Sleeping With the Enemy
I don't blame Paris for stacking his bread. Above all else, you've got to be solvent out here.

My first "big boy" rap tape purchased by me and not my older brothers - think I was about 8 when this dropped.

Video captivated me the first time I saw it on the box. I still play the album all the time too, appreciate it even more today now that I know what kinda shyt he was talking.
