Alright...i wanted to get this one poppin before i get on the train. This needs to be adressed.
I personally think men have it harder when it comes to being abstinent/not having sex.
With women...if they sleep with too many guys they're seen as sluts/whores/hoes...if they don't sleep with any they are just seen as prudes.
With us men? If we sleep around with mad women we are seen as players and pimps and as the pinnacle of manliness cause we have conquested so many women and all of that. And the center of jealousy amongst those who have not.
If we don't or even go into that voluntary abstinence period...we are seen as losers. Impotent. Inferior. Failures. A figure deserving of ridicule. Cause men in my opinion place much more importance on sex than women.
I notice when women have these long periods of no sex...they feel lonely depressed and unwanted. And that's sad.
With men? Men get angry. And suicidal. And bitter. And jealous. And insecure. Of other men. Of women. Of everybody.
Why is he getting laid and I'm not?
Am I a loser?
Some men i notice can even just get mad at the sight of a happy couple...cause he knows they're having sex and he is not.
Couple that with unhealthy habits and a fixation towards the wrong things and it can be destructive.
Now...i made this thread to say that yes...we as men put too much value on sex as a judgement of manhood. It's not. Building a stable life for one's self. For others. Being productive. Being successful at a job or whatever...that is.
Problem is this society is just too oversexed and i don't know if we can ever go back.
