Drake putting Party in depression :smh: Kirby does it again :smh: add this to the title :smh:

In 2015, Drake used PND's "Wednesday Night Interlude" as the downbeat counterpoint to the combative narratives that dominated his If You're Reading This It's Too Late mixtape. "I was involved with that tape; Drake asked for that song," PND remembers. "I said, 'Are you gonna cut it?' 'No.' He just put it on there. I don't think people do that. I love the fact that he put it on there and people heard it. And I still, to this day, wish I kept that song for my album."

He says he doesn't want to write hits for other artists.

He says he signed with OVO because they would give him full artistic licence and let him drop any time he wants.

Those 2 things can't co-exist PND. Stay at OVO - Drake will take all of your hits and your music won't get that push.

Despite the runaway success of "Work," PND is not interested in writing more smashes for other artists. "It doesn't make me happy," he says. "I'm looking for joy. It's a moment for Rihanna and Drake. I want to invest time in creating moments for myself."

He can eat off Work forever and just focus on giving us pure product not chasing sales like p3 :banderas:

OVO made a simple pitch: "Release your music when you want, have complete control, and do your own thing."

:jbhmm: So you can do all this after Drake gets your best records?

And I thought writing a #1 would be enough for Party? :sas1:

It's looking like he didn't enjoy writing other people's hits like a few of y'all said he did :sas2:

That narrative ain't come from Party. He can write for others what he wants and keep what he wants. Party has released 4 projects since he came out. Him wanting to eat off writing sometimes doesn't mean anybody is stealing from him. He's a grown man

I don't think ANY Party fan would say Drake gets his best records.
I'd go as far as saying Party has more classics than Drake.

Well he obviously felt some type of way when Drake took "Wednesday Night Interlude" so I think PND would disagree

He said Drake asked for it and he gave it, but he wished he kept it. That doesn't mean it's his best song.
At the end of the day he's a grown man and hasn't implied he was forced to give anything up. He wanted to eat and it probably (definitely) made sense financially but now dude is caked up he's gonna feed the fans prolifically :banderas:

Drake took it not asked for it :stopitslime:

And writers don't make that much money like you'd think. Streaming is killing writers pockets
