Hey don't blame people for working there. You get what you pay for. I worked at IHOP for 6 mos. No one wants to be there when they're working because they have a) shytty pay, and b) they treat their workers like shyt.

yeah I always tell my family to tip because they'd pool the tips in almost all restaurants I've worked in. If you don't tip a waitress you're cheating all the restaurant for their service. I mean, if it's a bad waitress, sure, but mostly people don't tip because they don't feel like it. The tip was an automatic gratuity on parties over a certain number, which a lot of restaurants do. In New York they put in an automatic gratuity on any party in a lot of restaurants. The tip goes back to all the servers, not just one.

In my 23 years of life, I've only not tipped twice when going out. I think it physically causes me pain not to tip people.
