They’re around, just both people gotta want to be there for each other. It’s how a basic relationship/partnership should work. two people doing what it takes to continue being together, and not doing all the extra shyt for outsiders. Mighty Mouse still worked some, and now he’s doing his thing so she can chill.
Before we were married, I left my job for like 5 months to catch up in college and help take care of my pops. I still had income from being medically retired from the Army.
My girl didn’t skip a beat. She kept working, and just when I went back to my old job we found out she was having our kid. Now I’m working while she stays home.
When I was in HS we had neighbors who regularly swapped staying at home and working. They were both in the Army and his wife got kicked out. She did something that eventually got him kicked out too. They had some kids and one will work and the other will stay home. When they got tired they would switch lol. They just loved each other and didn’t care about what anybody thought about them. They just wanted to be together and do whatever it took to be a happy family.
Just gotta find somebody that you want to be with, and wants to be with you, and you both gotta tune out all the extra #relationshipgoals trope bullshyt. Just BE, but do it together.
