long before Clifford Harris became significant

" I remember TRAPPING late at the store
had no idea what I was in for
just me and my n1gga supplying fiends
broke as hell.......but chasing dreams!" "In Decatur" 1999

"We stole Big Boi's car..got our strip on..we got the rims ...the music..and the cell phone" - Nino from Ghetto Mafia :sas2:

Never buy our dope, without a scale
Learned that while I was trappin, in Scottsdale!

"Straight from the Dec!!!" sickest flow over a Al Green sample since Rakim flowed on Mahogony

That Big Boy line was just shyt talking. It didn't really happen. Ghetto Mafia was mad underrated though. They had a nice lil style.

As far as the word Trap, that shyt was said on record way before that song by members of the Dungeon Family. Big Boi's verse on SpottieOttieDopaliscious was really like the mainstream introduction to the word, which I believe was before In Decatur. The word was said before that though.

In Decatur is classic

I was on my NY/eastcoast independent underground hip-hop steez heavy back then, but I'll be damned if I say this wasn't one of my favorite songs back in '98. I bumped the sh*t outta this track. Followed their career for a minute too
Only southern cats outside of Dungeon Family, Juvenile, and Project Playaz that I was really fukkin with around that time.

Their rhymes were basic as shyt, but they made it work and werent on no flashy commerical shyt.
