Can get a well spec'd Y Series Ideapad for under a grand. OF course, it depends on what you want to do.

Got a refurbished Y510p off ebay for $200 under the reg. price a month ago. Decent desktop replacement but not to heavy with a good screen, decent battery life, and can play alot of games on high settings.

I want it to be capable of doing anything I need to do, running any program etc
i want the absolute best one

to be clear, you're already selling yourself short of the "absolute best" by going with a laptop. the "absolute best" is also a dangerous pursuit with PC's, as the sky is basically the limit

the question is, do you want to play modern games on this thing?

the answer would be if I wanted to I want to be able too
I want to just not have to worry about anything no matter it is being able to run smoothly on it
