I think I might have broken/blown my soundcard!

Basically, I was using audacity to record a mix from an mp3 controller and now whenever I type I can hear it through the speakers and through the computer. Whenever I click on something, I can hear it.

Have I broken my soundcard? And if not, how do I fix this? I've been messing around with the settings so I'm hoping to be able to fix this.

I am using a laptop. PC laptop. I don't really know what happened. But you recommend switching it off and taking the battery out then back in? How does that help exactly? Just curious to know.

Nah it didn't work. I think when I was trying to record music onto it it musta blown a fuse of some kind. It still works, its just the sound is messed up and I can't connect my equipment to the laptop.

I'll probably have to buy a new one, hopefully this one can last a little longer though. I've had it for a long time.

Yeah, I was thinking of doing that. I might do that. Cause tbh I'd like to hold on to this computer for longer. It works just fine, the sound is the only messed up thing.

What pisses me off is that my Mixtrack Pro 2 no longer connects to the laptop for some reason and I really need it to work. If I can fix the sound or whatever is wrong, hopefully it will work again cause it was fine until today.
