google that shyt till u find a fix..might be the drivers or could be the equipment.. or even the program that u use to mix..could be tons of things

Yeah, I've been looking around in google. An option is that maybe my laptop is not powerful enough to record and play that software at the same time. But it was working fine until this sound problem. I dunno what's wrong with it. So I'm assuming the sound problem has something to do with Mixtrack Pro not working.

Are you saying that all sound is coming through both the headphones and speakers?

Or just typing and mouse clicks are?

All sound. You know what that means?

How do I do that? Do I only have to do it for the laptop? And what do you think caused this?
Find your sound device in Device Manager in the Control Panel.

The only way something like this could happen is the sound you recorded got moved to system sounds somehow. If that's the case go to system sounds in the control panel and change the present to no sound.

Try those before you rip out your sound card.

Damn, this sounds about right. I think if I fix this everything should go back to normal? Will it be easy or is it gonna take me a while? I'm not that computer savy when it comes to this kind of thing.

And after fixing, would it be safe to use it to record again or should I leave that alone?

I think I might have broken/blown my soundcard!

Basically, I was using audacity to record a mix from an mp3 controller and now whenever I type I can hear it through the speakers and through the computer. Whenever I click on something, I can hear it.

Have I broken my soundcard? And if not, how do I fix this? I've been messing around with the settings so I'm hoping to be able to fix this.
whats "an mp3 controller"? what exactly were you doing?

but I can't think of any reason you would be hearing typing and clicking through your sound device

go to options and press the fix button

You're clowning me here, right?

The hole you plug the headphones into :snoop:

My bad. But no, my whole set up is not physically damaged at all. I think @StatUS has it right so far.

Its digital DJ equipment. Mixtrack Pro 2 to be exact. I bought it a couple of weeks ago and I've been mixing with it. I tried to record my mixes with Audacity today by using a cable to connect it but something happened and now my sound system is messed up and my DJ software is not recognizing Mixtrack Pro for some reason.
