My desktop wont start up. It doesn't even boot in the safe mode. Apparently the issue is drivers\avglogx.sys is corrupt.

Being that I'm bout that life I of course don't have any image backups and don't have a Windows 7 cd on hand.

Brehs what do I do next.

as of right now bushes are my only option

Your going to need a windows 7 cd to repair ...

Or maybe you could search the net for that specific file and insert it using dos or some easy program in dos.

Like dude above me said, look for that specific file and add it to the system if you know how. If not, it only takes an hour to find a copy of windows and do a fresh install. You will just have to install your computer's drivers yourself. Use somebody's computer and get to work OP

I got a laptop that's running Win 7 Home, desktop was running Pro. Is it possible for me to make a backup installation from there and try to do a system repair from that cd?

I'd say that would probably work but I would just torrent pro from piratebay to be sure
