basically a lawsuit against EA and the monopoly they have on football games (madden,Ncaa)

The lawsuit claims that Electronic Arts violated federal and California antitrust laws, as well as California consumer protection laws, by signing exclusive licensing agreements with the Arena Football League (“AFL), the Collegiate Licensing Company (“CLC”) (on behalf of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (“NCAA”)), the National Football League (“NFL”), and the National Football League Players Association (“NFLPA”). The lawsuit claims that these agreements gave Electronic Arts a monopoly over an alleged market for league-branded, simulation football videogames, and allowed it to charge higher prices than it would have in a competitive environment. The suit seeks to recover monetary damages and restitution, as well as injunctive relief.

EA doesn't have a monopoly on football video games. the NFL has the right to sell its license to whoever it pleases. so does then NCAA and AFL.

Bought shytty ass madden 06 (release year would be 05) and I was pissed!!! That's the only game I've EVER played that had me wanting to burn the disc. I was about to take the shyt out into the parking lot and set it ablaze. But i traded it in and got a little value for it instead. I've been following these 2 guys for a minute. I'm still kind of in shock that they got this far. I remember when they first started and everyone was thinking that the judge wouldn't even accept the claim lol. They got shyt done and as a result, we may see a ncaa by next year and hopefully.....HOPEFULLY a 2k in the near future. fukk Ea sports!!! I support some of their games (crysis, need for speed) but Ea Sports need to fukking to die. I'm know I'm only getting about 6 bucks back but it's worth it to me
