And since there's NOTHING at all recorded in the text regarding what happened to them, you can't really conclude anything.....especially pedophilia.
Then again, you'd really have to read about Israel's history with Midian to really get what's happening and why Moses said what he did, but most people don't bother.
I'd think that if the Israelites had done something that outlandish with them, it would have been recorded somewhere in the text. After all, this is the same text that matter-of-factly records a woman being cut into pieces and left on a doorstep after her 'master' gave her to a group of men that wanted to have homosexual relations with a couple of visiting travelers in his home.
Writers had NO chill.
