As a Yankees fan you hate just about every Red Sox player. I never hated Pedro. I feared him.

best part is when he notices someone in the audience has a dominican jersey on...he stops in mid sentence to let him know he sees him and tells him "I'm proud of you." This was during discussion of how being at Harvard gives you the opportunity to succeed in ways that people who come from poverty only dream about.

Honestly, although I followed dude religiously during his playing days I never got to see this other side of him. One of the good guys IMO.
