Well now he expects him to be something different now he has the top belt...of course on the surface what it means is that Ross had NO PROBLEM with this guy being a comedy joke act for 4 years in the tag division but now he needs to be hard and different:laugh: I can't make this stuff up..the truth behind how they see guys always comes out in the end..where was this criticism pre WM? LOL.
Speaking on the latest episode of his podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross critiqued the booking of Kofi Kingston as WWE World champion. Below are some highlights from this week’s podcast for The Jim Ross Report.

Jim Ross on how booking needs to tweak Kofi Kingston: “Somebody needs to tell Kofi that hopping to the [ring] — carefree, happy, smiling, I don’t know if that fits the champion, especially when you’re a marked man. The days of the six-man tags with New Day [are done] — it’s a different ballgame now. You’re the man. Everybody’s going to give you their best shot. At least they should, right? So, the happy, carefree demeanor may be fun for children, who can laugh at or with the antics, not so much I don’t think the older fans; 18-34, 18-49.”

His suggestion for his booking and whoever is producing Kofi:“Just saying somebody that’s producing Kofi might want to suggest, you figure out how you’re perceived when you’re introduced. And sometimes, maybe that perception of Kofi is not indicative of who he is. I’m a big fan of his by the way.”

So you're going at JR for the same shyt you been saying about Kofi for the past 2 months?
@R=G

:dame:
No, no, no...I always have said this..for 11 yrs. Ross magically says it now after he gets the belt but was OK with him shucking and jiving as a non main event act...saw him as a nothing role player but now wants him to grow up since he has the belt...lol. I find it amusing.

The logic of "stop doing the things that got you over" will never make sense to me.

It was the fans who essentially willed Kofi to this spot. Anyone who doesn't buy him as champion is never going to do so.

JR wants this guy to Jack Swagger himself by completely changing his character after winning the title.

Clearly that worked for him.

He does need to alter his personality a little, the idea is the WWE championship is serious business and he needs to be serious to keep it. I still dont think new day should turn but they need to show him in a slightly more threatening role especially after KO took them all out by himself

Not "them all"...Vince would not have had Owens beat down Big E along w Kof and Xavier.

I dont really have an issue with it as long as its leading to a bigger story and Kof gets his get back.
