Ain’t nobody funding this thing. But it does sound dope tho.Imagine if they built a satellite that was like a huge magnifying glass that harnessed all of the suns energy and converted that shyt into a laser
Or better yet a huge ass mirror like how we used to burn ants with, def would have to be light based because light is the most efficient form of transferable energy in space
But wait electromagnetic radiation also travels at the speed of light so imagine if you took the energy from the sun and converted those waves into electromagnetic waves using a catalyst of some sort and pointed that shyt things
Technically it wouldn’t be a nuclear bomb because it’s solar powered
Damn I should work at NASA forreal tho![]()

I wonder what you’d do about atmospheric refraction or even dissipation over the 90km distance to a ground target?

Also, do you think photons from another laser could cancel out, our even deflect the ray from the first space cannon?

Also, could you imagine separating the bands of light like a prism to only allow the large wavelength particles? You could rain invisible UV radiation or even gamma on your target and they’d only find out they were hit at a cancer screening.

Finally, do you think that even tho the actual beam moves at the speed of light, the priming and heating of the system, as it prepares to fire, might be visible and allow the target to adjust position. Almost like how you obviously can’t prepare for a bullet but you can watch for someone reaching for their gun in their pants or car?

Actually, now that I think about it; I might just send you my resume when you get that nasa gig. Y’all need some interns?
