There's a limit to how much you can hold a great players supporting cast against him. This goes for all sports, because at a certain point it's gets stupid

Emmit is one of the best backs I ever seen

I think people overrate our line because i believe the Cowboys had the first line to average 300 pounds. They had good players like Erik Williams and Mark Tuinei and Mark Stepnoski. But the myth the line was full of Hall of Famers was just that.

All of them might not be hof worthy but they were all better than Barry had. Without using google, name a Lions o-lineman from the BS years

yet only ONE player made it in and he was there for only one super bowl title in 95-95.

:ld:

This confirms the greatness of Emmitt Smith.

Never heard about the HOF o-line, but it was always said that his line was great...great rb with a great o-line equals great results.

And yes, it is literally AMAZING what Barry Sanders was able to do with that shytty line he had.

Emmit had by far one of the best O-Lines in the NFL in his heyday but that doesn't take away from his greatness, dudes consistency for all those years speaks for itself. Dude was great all the way until he retired and he played behind bad lines towards the end of his career and still put up 1000 yd seasons.

Plus you can use the Hall of argument for most all time greats. It doesn't take away from their individual greatness
