Joey Badass just isn't a rapper to listen to if you have a fetish for 90s music. Most fans or critics cant seem to get over that. What people seem to overlook is the amount of progression and versatility he's shown since 1999. The kid can switch up his style to making chill songs to lay back to to amped up music to get hyped up too. On top of that Joey isn't just attracting old heads, his main demographic is in fact teenagers. Joey Badass is way more creative than people give him credit too because they can't seem to get over the fact he likes boom bap beats!

on 1999 he sounded natural. on 95 Til infinity he sounds like a retard with Tourette's. and he's carried that new voice of his to his new album. the 95 til infinity beat was so smooth and he ruined it with a rapping style that the beat didn't even call for.

From a technical standpoint joey b and kendrick are the best rappers to come out in the last 5 years. I personally prefer joeys style more because he has better rhyme schemes and is more fluid with his subject matter. And yeah sure he will attract the older heads but if you check his social media it's without a doubt dominated by middle and high school kids.
