I'm stranded just outside of boston for the holiday weekend with the in-laws. I'm looking for a chance to get out of the house and get some exercise.

(I know posting this at 1AM Eastern is counter productive, but I'll up it tomorrow)

Any of you have a weekend/holiday hoops run on Friday/Saturday? Local Y, school, outdoor ice-skating rink that's melted and you don't know what to do about it?


A couple of things to know:
- I'm quickly developing that old-man, fundamentally flawless game

- I play like a Drazen/Duncan hybrid with young Magic court vision
- I like to push the tempo, and will get you easy buckets
- The hood loves me, but I can always put the suburbs on my back:mjrascal:

- I can talk to the police, should they show up for some reason

- You can tell your friends I do your taxes


- What I lack in defense, I make up with in humor and communication excellence


- I'll buy you a gatorade:obamashake:, any flavor but fierce grape. :whoacarlton:

- I have great intangibles: super gritty, cerebral, a real team leader. sneaky athleticism. fukk wit me.


- No suspicious facial hair

This time of year? Most of the LA Fitnesses have some sort of league ran on the weekends.

You gotta be member to get in. You'll find the most competitive games in Stoughton which is like 20 minutes south of the city.

All you gotta do is look for a Y or some kind of fitness center online and just go there. There's always a pick up game going in every city Boston is no different

Im playin Friday most likely at a YMCA in CT. Prob about 2 hrs from where u are.I challenged ppl on here in Boston to a game before and they pussed out. May not be worth the drive for you but u can crash here and we can hit the bars and shyt. If not, I know a bunch IRL in Boston and i can ask them where u can find a good game

Tis a shame. im only 45 or so from springfield..90 min on a good day from boston..but im assuming traffic is gonna be miserable this week/weekend with college kids and displaced family coming back around. if youre north of boston then its even less feasible.

I wish you well on your journey for good pick-up ball. You could always just call a few YMCA's nearby or somethin to ask about basketball open runs and take a random shot. Im sure a lot of the college kids who have stayed in the area are gonna be tryin to meetup with their friends that came back so theres gotta be somethin around there
