People taking your chair in class unappreciation

In college, most classes don't have assigned seats, but after the first few days of class, people sit in the same seats for the rest of the semester. For some reason though, that almost never works out for me. I can usually count on somebody moving in on my chair at some point in the middle of the semester. It happens if I am late or absent for one class, if I get to class later than my usual time (but still on time), or even for no reason. I could understand if I sat in a desirable location, but usually I just find a random seat where I can see, and people still take my chair. Sometimes this happens multiple times a semester, and when it does, I look around the class and think "Why is everyone else sitting in the same spot except for this person?" One time a girl apologized for sitting in my chair when I walked into class. I just looked at her and then kept it moving because if she was really sorry she wouldn't have sat there.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Ha, I knew them nerds used to get mad when I would sit where they usually sat.

But they never said shyt.

In most cases I was trying to sit next to the fine hoes in the class and whoever seat I took wasn't trying put that work in.

Its not like its high school and they could tell the teacher, if you want this seat back take it

It's not a big deal..but just stay in the same seat, after the initial class or two, we are all grown up here, no ones crying over a seat, but it makes me uncomfortable if someone takes 'my' seat', and I have to take someone else's, it's awkward, I'm not trying to birdman stare down some 33 year old nerd man lol

LOL I'm not gonna try to get my seat back and I'm not "mad" (especially since I expect it to happen anyway). It's just annoying playing musical chairs multiple times in a semester.

I don't like people sitting behind me. I always picked the back corner seat in class and almost never had a problem because I always came to class early.

Now back in HS, that was the worse. You could pretty much eyeball a chair and know it's yours. Coming in and finding it gone or a janky one in it's place was status.
