Overall, the results indicate that the most often cited reasons for divorce at the individual level were lack of commitment (75.0%), infidelity (59.6%), and too much conflict and arguing (57.7%), followed by marrying too young (45.1%), financial problems (36.7%), substance abuse (34.6%), and domestic violence (23.5%). Other problems, such as religious differences, were endorsed less than 20% of the time. The order of these rankings was essentially identical at the couple level, although rates of endorsement increased because both partners were reporting. The following provides qualitative elaborations by participants on these specific reasons for divorce.
According to this that's not most lol.

If it’s money issues it’s because she feels like she has to take on a bigger burden than the husband. Other times it’s constant infidelity. Those are the two biggest things that makes a woman file for divorce. Besides that women will stick with her husband…

Money is the indirect cause.

The people involved don’t think "My financial situation will be better without". They start getting stressed out, spending less time with each other due overtime, blaming one another etc.

I never saw OP say most until right now. Hell nah it ain’t most. Cheating will always be the first reason every single era of life

But finances shows up too many times on a top 5-10 list to ignore it and act like it doesn’t matter.

What OP is missing is, people don’t divorce because they are broke. People divorce because one person isn’t handling the finances right. Maybe the husband keeps buying stupid shyt and not saving THEIR money. Maybe she gambles away his retirement. Maybe he lets his mom borrow 50k. Maybe she doesn’t let him spend anything.

It’s not “he’s broke I’m leaving”. It’s “that person sucks with money in my eyes and it’s causing harm in the marriage”

Men and women are equL yet they want child support, spousal support & alimony :troll:
They are equal so they must provide an equal share of money to the kid. So if you marrying broke women who ain’t equal financially, guess who makes it up TO THE KID…..

They are equal so when you tell your women to quit her job and stay home with the kids. You’ve made her career not as important as yours. And guess who makes it up when it’s time to split finances…….

You gotta pay attention to who you marry
