I sympathize on both sides to some extent .

I guess for example, in my field there are a lot of professors who has actually done a lot of work in their field. Like actual scientists and people who have done work with a meaningful impact on society. Like you can just look up their name online and see they have several research grants and projects under their name dating back 30 something years. I go out of my way to call them doctor or by their title. They put in the work and I think its polite to give them the respect for it.

But you graduated from fukking West Virginia University with a PHD online in bullshyt and have done shyt to show for it in society as a whole and you are real bossy in making sure you get called doctor you can fukk off.

I’ve worked closely with non-Black PhDs in tech. You’d never know they have a PhD unless you look them up on LinkedIn or some shyt.

Negroes, on the other hand, have to let the whole world know about their PhD in Africana Studies or some other shyt.

I understand OP if it's a PhD in something like sociology. But a PhD in a hard science like math/physics deserves the utmost respect. They're some of the smartest people in the world helping push the boundaries of human knowledge.

If you're friends it's totally different. But it's a certain level of respect. Look at sports, I know coaches who haven't coached in years but when you address them, it's still COACH. Same thing with Doctors. You say Dr, not no Jeff. Come on bruh, respect the accolades

Right now i'm going out with this chick who's a doctor (actual physician) and she always answers her phone like "Hello, this is Dr. **** "

At least it doesnt bother me as much as the Haitian chick i went out with years ago that reminded you she was a lawyer in every conversation.
And i mean every-fukking-conversation.
I stopped talking to her after a month and she was blowing up my phone for another 3 months after that.
Finally ran into her again about a year later at a Haitian band's concert. She approached me at the bar talking about "Hey stranger. How have you been? So you're still single? blah blah blah" So we talked and then i steped away. Noticed she was dansing with some dude who couldnt dance Kompa worth a shyt. Then about an hour later i was back at the bar and she came and introduced me to her "fiancee". Some lame looking black american dude.
Perhaps that's why he was struggling on the dance floor. Out of his element dancing to Kompa and Zouk
