I have a cousin with a 6-year old. Last year, he was ALL ABOUT Thomas the Train. Thomas everything...toys, books, clothes, bed sheets, making my cousin take him to Thomas concerts/shows/movies, Thomas b-day cake. Hundreds & probably thousands of dollars worth of Thomas merchandise was bought. He even wanted to be a train conductor, train engineer....

Fast forward a year later, and he's thrown Thomas in the bushes :birdman::scusthov:

He's all about Lego's now and those Lego ninjas. Had his birthday at the Lego store this year and now it's all LEGO errything. :krs:

Of course, My daughter is only 2 and she has already went through the Yo Gabba Gabba phase, then of course the Dora the Explorer phase, them the Elmo phase,Now she is all about Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse Club House. We usually buy a few toys and keep it moving but we know better than to get everything decked out with one theme cause they change so quick...

She won't even put her Dora the Explorer pajamas on no more, she looks at me the same I would look at my wife if she gave me a Tommy Hilfiger shirt to put on :pachaha:

This is why I wont invest heavily in those types of things. Not only will they throw it in the bushes you will be stuck trying to donate the shyt or give it to someone else to get the clutter out the house.

 I don't know why parent's let their kids get hooked like that

I'm keepin' my kids away from that type of attachment to fantasy figures

These companies racking in trillions over that cartoon crack
