Ehhh the vid is a bit chatty patty and I don't care about dude nor the situation all that much, but it definitely wouldn't be surprising if the man himself was and not just the persona. Fame/money a lot of the time turns people into weirdos. Just look at Notch. Dude went from a guy making indie games for fun into a depressed and lonely billionaire who whines about "SJWs".
