Peyton Manning is Absolutely, Positively, Beyond a Shadow of a Doubt the Best Quarterback Ever to Play the Game

Not the greatest regular season QB

The greatest QB..Period

SB Rings are without a doubt wonderful to have but they do not determine the value or greatness of a player.

TEAMS
win Super Bowls...the Owners, the GM's, the Coaches, and the players all contribute to winning games, winning playoffs, and winning championships.

Brady, Aikman, Bradshaw, Montana, Elway, etc. all get the :salute: but :

  • Manning has played at a rarefied level more consistently than any other player.
  • His four MVPs are the most of any player in history
  • His twelve Pro Bowl selections are the most by any QB.
I'm just saying that Peyton Manning is the final stage in the evolution of the pocket passer. I doubt we will ever see anyone better.

(I stole this from GQ but I give zero fukks)

Who says he can't win this year? he playing at peak performance all season at his age. I hear his game knowledge and memory is immaculate. he's gonna make a great coach some day. come to Miami when you retire, Peyton. these sorry motherfukkers need someone that can properly guide them.

Peyton is still a disappointing QB to me, he always will be. If Kaep is with the 49ers 15 years and in the playoffs 13/15 and only wins 1 SB, I`d consider him a disappointment too.

That's the sad thing about Manning, he has mastered the game so much and that's what's so sad, that he is so great but his play dips so much in the playoffs.

It's not just a team thing either, his QB rating drops about 10 points in the playoffs while other great QB's their rating rises.

So where do you rank Marino? :patrice:

And Terry Bradshaw? :patrice:

Do people not understand why having 15 cracks at a title and only winning one would leave a little something to be desired?

Especially when it came against Rex Grossman in a mess of a game. Legends are made by beating great rivals, Peyton really doesn't have that big moment.

Think of why Montana is great. Not only does he have 4 SB's, his teams beat team w/ HOF worthy QB's. Peyton beat a team with a current 3rd stringer who turned the ball over on the regular.

It is what it is. His legacy is built off regular season stats
