Sohh, storytime:
In the 90's, I had a homie that worked for a local dinner club. Small intimate spot in Emeryville, furthest seats back were about 75ish feet from the stage.
Lots of RnB acts rolled through and he always gave me tickets for free.
Saw Rachelle Ferrell there and was so blown away, I went back the next night to see her again...
One year, Phillip Bailey came through. I went. He sang. I rocked with it, all the way live. He was there as a solo act but still did a number of EWF songs, the man is gifted, flawless pitches even at his age (at the time).
Damn near had me feeling some type of way...
I also saw Mint Condition, Keith Washington, Freddy Jackson, I know I'm missing several others too.
PB can sang y'all....
