Philip D. Jackson:
When I was Doug Collins assistant I worked with scottie and played one on one and against him in practice to develop his game.
I advocated for him constantly to get play time as he was coming up.
Scottie is one of the greatest defenders of all times. I have a lot of admiration for him. I sent the defensive calls to Scottie as he was our defensive leader and we went as he went. X factor for our defense and I would signal to him when it was time to lock in to go berserk on defense.
Bonus info from Phil Knight (Nike): Jordan said he was really close friends with Scottie...said don't believe the media about them just being co-workers...said Scottie attacking him really hurts Jordan
