The Philippine Star, the 3-year-old toddler was pronounced dead at 9 a.m. on June 11 by medical professionals at a nearby clinic. Her parents said she was experiencing a severe fever for several days.
The toddler’s parents held her funeral for 1 p.m. on June 12. Aurora Police Senior Inspector Heidil Teelan said just before the lid of the coffin was added, the little girl began to move.
“This prompted them to check and confirmed the girl had a pulse and was alive,” Teelan told the
Star.
Cell phone video of her resurrection quickly made its way to YouTube and has more than 1.3 million views since Sunday.
The girl’s parents quickly took the girl out of the coffin, and the father cradled her and mourners gave her water. The little girl had a pulse.
The condition of the girl has not been officially confirmed, but one
Philippine culture blog claims Aurora’s municipal health official confirmed that the child was dead again on Monday. Dr. Mary Silyne Asor-Cabahug requested that the girl’s parents bury her quickly to combat the spread of disease, according to the website.
